GND art duo was created by Nadya Xyxu and Grisha Tsvetkov in 2021.
In their artworks they explore the interplay between technology and human perception, questioning how digital tools and generative environments reshape our emotional and sensory engagement with the world. Their work interrogates the hidden rhythms of everyday life—transforming mundane materials, sounds, and spaces into meditations on time, memory, and the fragility of existence.
At the core of their practice lies a fascination with distortion: temporal, spatial, and psychological. By stretching, compressing, or fracturing reality through timelapses, 3D scans, and interactive installations, they expose the tension between permanence and transience. A plastic bag becomes an artifact of collective consumption (Underplastic); a slit-scan camera warps self-perception into a fluid abstraction (Flooow); electromagnetic static hums with the anxiety of invisible systems (Am I a Part of Nature?).
Their projects reject grand narratives, instead focusing on the poetics of the incidental. Recycled materials, glitches, and field recordings are recontextualized as tools to dissect how technology mediates our relationship with the environment. In Plaundophone, crushed plastic disks generate synesthetic soundscapes, blurring the line between tactile texture and auditory resonance. In Supermoon Tide, water and light merge into a hypnotic study of slowness, inviting viewers to dwell in the weight of suspended moments.
By merging sound synthesis, motion design, and material experimentation, Gnd crafts ecosystems where the boundary between artifact and experience dissolves.
