Alarm

Concept
Alarm is a generative audiovisual installation that explores the shifting states of anxiety and post-traumatic stress. The work reflects the tension between calm and disturbance, using real-time visuals and sound that evolve continuously without repetition.
The installation is centered around a circular form.
Сhosen deliberately to represent a state of intense focus and emotional immersion.
This form makes the anxiety impossible to avoid; it pulls the viewer in. The shapes themselves shift between sharp, blade-like structures and soft, flower-like figures, echoing the unstable emotional landscape the piece reflects.
Performance
Originally developed as a live audiovisual performance with laser projection during the Art & Technology MA program, the piece was later adapted into a self-contained installation. In its current form, all parameters change autonomously in real time, maintaining a continuous generative flow.
BYOB
ALARM has been presented in several Bring Your Own Beamer (BYOB) exhibitions, where it was specifically adapted for standalone installation formats.
Creation Process
The visual component is built in TouchDesigner and fully audio-reactive. The sound is generated live in VCV Rack, using modular synthesis to shape a dynamic, immersive atmosphere.
